  LIGHTING AND SOUND

LIGHTING: These clamplights, available at most hardware stores, are great at focusing light. You’ll probably need at least four of them. Remember to buy long (about 30’foot) extention chords for each, too.

Mikes are key to getting the sound out to everyone in the audience. We recommend three, with mikestands, all available at places like Radio Shack. Ask the janitors where they plug into the sound system of the auditorium. Or use your kid's guitar amplifiers.

The other key to good sound is to get the kids to practice using the microphones. One really has to put one's mouth right next to them to be heard. Kids usually don't like to hear their voice loud, but encourage them that it’s the best way to have the people in the back hear them.
