The Pageant is Free for Church, School, and Community Groups
THE FIRST CHRISTMAS was written to be used FREE OF CHARGE with NO PERMISSION needed by ANYONE ON EARTH, including any individual, or any church, school, community or other group.
YOU MAY ALTER THE TEXT or production in any way that suits your organization, if you feel it makes it easier to produce. For instance, you may need to use less characters or to shorten the play. That's o.k.
YOU MAY ALSO PUT YOUR PAGEANT ON YOU TUBE, TWITTER, OR ANY OTHER PLATFORM. THAT INCLUDES THE ENTIRE PAGENT OR ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OF IT.
The pageant has been free to use since 2006 and has been produced all over the world. We are more interested in spreading its message of peace and love than in restricting it usage.

WE REQUEST THAT YOU EMAIL US TO SAY WHERE YOU WILL BE PERFORMING THE PLAY - (THOUGH YOU DON'T HAVE TO)
The only thing we request (and you don't have to ) of users of the script is that you write in and tell us the name of your organization, your city and state, and what date you will be performing the play.

If you are a publisher and would like to include the entire script in a book or magazine, please email us (at the CONTACT US page) with your ideas and we will promptly respond.
If you are a tv or film producer and would like to produce a tv show or film using the script, please contact us, as you will need our permission for that.
