Private Instruction in English Language and American Culture at Your Home

Louise Egan provides one-on-one English language instruction to help you in your daily life with neighbors, teachers, other parents, as well as at stores, restaurants, and doctors offices.

An American who speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German, Louise Egan is an English language and American culture instructor to international corporate executives and their families. She teaches in Manhattan, Westchester and southern Connecticut. References upon request. Payment per lesson, per hour.

Lessons are given at your home (or favorite café); each class is generally 1, 1 ½ or 2 hours long, once or twice a week, depending on your need. This is a fun way to work at your own pace, improve your speaking skills, and to feel comfortable while learning.

English Grammar and Conversation
•Review grammar at your own pace;
•Read short books and articles --- for fun, and new vocabulary.
•Conversations -- about children, school, American life, news of the day, national and international politics, and more.

American Language and Culture (For Individual or Group)
•Share personal experiences Each 1 ½-hour class looks at different aspects
•Ask questions
•Discuss articles and TV news stories for a better understanding of American language and culture.

•Explore a Manhattan neighborhood with New Yorker Louise Egan;
•Give Louise your interests and she will plan a personal tour;
•Tours for 1-3 adults.
